SPDY Team Update 1/5/2009

Lacrosse warm-up info:

Friday PM: 4:30 PM

Saturday and Sunday AM (10 and under): 7:15 AM

Saturday PM (11 and over): 12:20 PM

Sunday PM (11 and over): 11:20 AM

Wausau USA warm-up info:

Saturday and Sunday AM (9-12): 7:00 AM

Saturday and Sunday PM (8 and under, 13 and over): immediately following AM session. I have not gotten a timeline as to when this will be. I will send an email out as soon as I hear.

As a reminder, sign-up forms are available for the Antigo and South Wood County CWSC meets. The Antigo registration is due Friday, January 8; the South Wood County registration is due January 15. We are getting into the CWSC portion of our meet schedule. For those new to SPDY or need a refresher, these CWSC meets are lead ups to the Divisional and Conference Meets held in February. Each swimmer needs to compete in at least two CWSC meets to be eligible to swim at the Divisional meet in Minocqua. The meets that count towards the two are: Merrill, Antigo, South Wood, and our home meet on the 30^th. In order to qualify for the Conference meet in Ladysmith a swimmer must finish in the top nine (9) in any event at the Divisional meet the week prior. This info does get confusing so if you have any questions please contact Eric. These CWSC meets are good TEAM meets for all levels. The Divisional and Conference meets are two of the few meets we do that keep a team score. Last year SPDY won both our Division and Conference. Let’s go for the repeat!

Meet sign-ups for our home meet will be coming out this week so check the pool deck and the website for those. A volunteer sign-up sheet is posted in the pool area for jobs needed at the home meet. Please stop by and sign up to volunteer, we cannot run a meet without the tremendous help from our parent volunteers.

DUE TO THE SWIM MEET IN LACROSSE ON FRIDAY NIGHT THERE WILL BE NO PRACTICE FOR ANY GROUP ON FRIDAY!
