CWSC Divisional:

This past weekend, numerous SPDY swimmers competed in the CWSC Divisional Meet in Minocqua, WI. SPDY finished 2^nd overall in the seven team meet. There were plenty of best times and even a few State times recorded over the weekend. Congratulations and great job to all swimmers that participated. The top nine swimmers in each individual event and the top six relays all advanced to this week’s Conference Meet in Ladysmith, WI. Good luck SPDY swimmers!

Schroeder A+ Meet:

SPDY also had six swimmers competing at the Schroeder A+ meet down in Brown Deer, WI. Drew Harris, Ben Harris, Natalie Neuwirth, Janna Check, Becca Weiland and Racheal Weiland did a great job representing SPDY at this very large and highly competitive meet. Congratulations go out to all six for a great meet!

Upcoming Meets:

With only six weeks left in our season here is a rundown of the final few meets we have on our schedule.

Wausau Iceberg (Feb 19-21):

This is a close to home meet that offers a wide range of events. Registration for this meet is closed!

South Wood County Zeismer Meet (March 6):

This is a great meet for all younger swimmers. This is a 12 and under meet only and the age groups are divided out by single age (5, 6,7,8,9, etc.) This is a friendly meet for all new swimmers. Registration for this meet will be coming out shortly.

YMCA Sectionals (March 12-14):

This meet is held at the Wausau Aspirus YMCA and is a great last meet for everyone on the team. This is used as a last chance meet before the State Championships and has the exact same format of events as the State meet. This meet is highly recommended for every SPDY swimmer regardless of ability level.

YMCA State (March 19-21):

This is our last and biggest meet of the season. Swimmer’s need to meet qualifying time standards to swim in the meet.
